Pratyahara
From Which Comes Control of the Senses.
It is the bridge to meditation.

By withdrawing your senses from contact with everything but the object of your attention, you are awakening the potential to discover and swim in the essence of the object itself.

Pratyahara is not about doing, feeling, and achieving many things.
It is about deepening the experience and knowledge of one small particular thing. A blade of grass, the smell of your child, the sound of one piece by Mozart, your breath, your inner body.

Through this practice, you enter a world of deeper stillness and clarity – a cool inner labyrinth of freshness.
Every pore finds peace, as you slip into a state of focused awareness.

When we are so intensely focused that the sense of separateness disappears, True Self – atman – is experienced.
